Apple for the Teacher Awards

The weather was perfect. Attendance was outstanding. The mood was upbeat and joyous. Teachers, and Students enjoyed a plate of Apple Crisp, Orange drink, apples, mutual admiration, smiles, tears of joy and happiness.

The awards ceremony included the OHS JrROTC color guard, performances by Ogden High Chamber choir and band, recognition for winning students of the Arts and Humanities Contest, Gifts and a plaque for the 8 recognized Teachers of 2008 and their students. We had a raffle at the end, great prizes for the winners and apple crisp to go.

I have worked this project for the last two years and I know that I am the luckiest gal in the world. I get to share this very special event with loving and kind people. I get to meet amazing teachers and amazing students, I get to eat great food and listen to great music ( I kid you not, the OHS Chamber Choir was just AMAZING), and I get to share in the warm fuzzies.

May 21 2008 - 5:29pm

This is the last in a series of Serial stories run by the Newspapers in Education program for the 2007-2008 school year.

This nine chapter serial tells a story about a boy named eddie. Eddie is a young boy who is not interested in learning history. That is until his teacher gives him a magical subway token that enables Eddie to time travel back to the 1930s where he learns that history is not just dull dates on a page, but rather, the people and events that color our lives. The illustrations are beautiful paintings that bring the characters and settings into vivid focus. Order your copies
